Surin Villas
In wider span Surin is located between the bustling hype of Patong and Phuket International Airport, in a shorter span it is located between the two most luxurious enclaves of Phuket, Kamala and Bang Tao. The later is actually more popular as Laguna, the brand of the first ultra-luxurious holiday accommodation in the area.However Surin's charm has made Aman to chose it as home for its Amanpuri resort.
The whole area consist of a hills sharply steeping down to a narrow curve of white sandy beach. The views may not be as brilliant as Kamala, but not bat at all. There is no sparkling glitter of Patong in sight at night, and the beach span was rather short for a brilliant scene. But again, it is not bad at all, especially when it compensated by price range and better proximity to other things but Patong, which takes about 15-20 minutes drive. In fact many loves Surin because of its not-so-secluded situation.
Surin Beach still has a small village atmosphere, but this is gradually changing as more and more major housing developments and hotel projects get underway. The beach itself has clear water and beautiful white sand, and is lined with tall casuarina trees and small Thai style restaurants. While one of the quieter beaches in Phuket, hawkers can still be a minor nuisance, although most are just content to walk about without actively getting in your face.
Just north of Surin is Pansea Bay a mouth-wateringly scenic enclave dominated by two deluxe resorts: Amanpuri and the Chedi. Film stars or VIPs like to stay there, as they can get away from the crowds. There are just a few restaurants and shops nearby.
